Experienced special education teacher and instructional leader focused on student growth.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated special education teacher and instructional leader with over a decade of experience in public schools, committed to equity, relationship-driven instruction, and creative problem solving. I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching (Special Education focus) from Boston University and multiple Massachusetts teaching licensures.
In my current role at Lowell Middlesex Academy Charter School, I design and deliver multi-modal, project-based courses, advise 15–20 students through multi-year personalized learning plans, and adapt curriculum and assessments to meet diverse learner needs. I also support students in securing internships and presenting public exhibitions of their learning.
Previously, as Team Lead and Special Education Teacher at Lawrence High School, I supported 13+ special education teachers with curriculum, planning, and case management, managed caseloads up to 25 students, facilitated department meetings, and led professional development on inclusion and co-teaching.
I bring strong organizational skills, experience with standards-aligned curriculum development, Individualized Education Plans, data tracking, and a history of cross-department collaboration and leadership. I seek roles where I can continue to coach educators, design inclusive learning experiences, and support student-centered growth.
