What I'm looking for

I'm looking to apply Python, data, backend, and cloud skills to maintainable products and pipelines, ideally with a fully remote, distributed international team where I can turn complex technical requirements into documented deliverables.

I've taken HMMTeacher from a Python prototype to an open-source web tool published in PLOS Computational Biology, implementing and validating forward, backward, and Viterbi algorithms from scratch.

At the University of Chile, I built genome-scale metabolic models for the TARA Ocean Project and used Pandas and Scikit-learn to inform and validate model design.

I teach Python, backend development, cloud computing, Java OOP, web development, IoT fundamentals, and IT consulting at Universidad Autónoma de Chile.

Alongside research and teaching, I've run a fully remote web development practice since 2018, building maintainable custom services and plugins for clients. I bring experience with distributed HPC processing, reproducible pipelines, AWS, SQL, Linux, and remote international collaboration.
