Brittany Jewell
@brittanyjewell
Accounting professional and Assistant Controller preparing for CPA, bringing GAAP reporting, audits, and tax expertise.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Assistant Controller & Office Manager who’s known for being a proven punctual multitasker with strong professional etiquette and a collaborative, team-first approach. I’m currently preparing to sit for my CPA, and I’m also a public notary for the State of Kentucky.
In my current role, I prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close while reconciling complex general ledger accounts, including intercompany balances, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets. I review accounts payable/receivable transactions, resolve discrepancies, and support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, pulling documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.
I also bring hands-on experience across the broader finance cycle—from QuickBooks-based transaction reconciliation and payroll processing to sales/use tax and fixed asset depreciation schedules. I’m comfortable working with Tekion and Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros), and I’ve used multiple accounting systems to streamline reporting, strengthen accuracy, and keep leadership and clients well-informed.
