Brian Wise
@brianwise
I’m a news photographer and editor who captures stories and edits broadcast packages with speed and accuracy.
What I'm looking for
I’m an active photographer and writer focused on telling news and sports stories with clear visuals and strong narrative. I bring hands-on production experience from operating broadcast cameras through delivering finished segments.
As a Photographer/Editor, I operate P2 and JVC cameras while filming news, weather, and sports for a local TV station. I cut, write, and edit VO, VOSOT's, PKG's, and Sweeps stories in Edius, composing and supporting live shots end-to-end.
I also contribute beyond the edit bay—setting up and breaking down live shot production and filling in to run audio for shows when needed. That blend of capture and post-production helps me move quickly while keeping stories consistent across formats.
Earlier roles strengthened my editorial voice: I’ve written and photographed for campus publications and served as Photo Editor, Special Sections Editor, and Designer. I’ve also worked in communications-focused settings, producing feature articles, press releases, social media content, and videos.
