Bojun Ji

At Zalando, I develop the IDC Gateway for the Bonded IDC program and own fulfillment-side architecture across transportation, customs, warehouse, and platform integrations. I defined cross-system state models, API and event boundaries, retry behavior, and operational alerts for long-running workflows while coordinating rollout across 40+ stakeholders.

I’ve delivered replenishment recommendations for 100+ merchants, translating ML outputs into daily and inventory-triggered reports served through PostgreSQL-backed APIs. I also scaled event feeds with Nakadi SQL fan-out and multi-partition streams, added contract tests, and built Trino-powered insight reports with daily and weekly refresh cycles.

Previously at Shopee and Ant Group, I led teams and remained hands-on across merchant platforms, promotions, insurance workflows, reconciliation, and distributed transactions. My work includes migrating platforms across three markets, reducing promotion-budget operations from three person-days to half a day, supporting 200+ insurance-product launches in a year, and reducing onboarding delivery from 50+ to under 10 person-days.

I build transactional and event-driven systems with Java, Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Python, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Kubernetes. I’m also developing an open-source Matter Intelligence prototype that turns unstructured evidence into persistent, structured matters through extraction, entity resolution, and human-reviewed AI workflows.
