What I'm looking for

I am seeking a role that allows me to further develop my expertise in radiation safety while contributing to a collaborative and innovative research environment.

As a dedicated Health Physicist at Harvard University, I have honed my expertise in radiation safety and compliance since September 2016. My role as X-ray Program Manager involves conducting thorough inspections to ensure the safe storage, use, and disposal of X-ray generating devices, adhering to 105 CMR 120 regulations. I take pride in my ability to coach areas of non-compliance positively while emphasizing the principles of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). My collaboration with Principal Investigators in obtaining new permits and construction layouts has been instrumental in maintaining a safe research environment.

In my capacity as Waste Management and Operations Coordinator, I oversee the management of radioactive waste, ensuring proper sorting, packaging, and disposal in compliance with state regulations. My responsibilities include preparing waste manifests and coordinating the annual calibration of radiation detection equipment. I am committed to mentoring assistant health physicists, sharing my knowledge of survey techniques, regulations, and fostering strong customer relationships. My proactive approach to interfacing with Harvard researchers allows me to provide valuable assistance while balancing their research objectives with essential radiation protection measures.
