Beth Miller
@bethmiller1
I lead nonprofit growth, governance, fundraising, and transformational organizational change.
What I'm looking for
At Creative Education Foundation, I lead organizational management, compliance, revenue development, programming, governance, and community visibility for a 70-year-old organization. I acquired the Florida Creativity Conference and World Creativity and Innovation Week franchise while guiding strategic planning and an organization-wide assessment.
I’ve strengthened financial stability by increasing near-term liquidity 27% from 2017 to 2019, exceeding budget projections for three consecutive years, and building major-gift, annual-fund, sponsorship, and endowment strategies. I also led COVID-19 relief funding efforts, secured pro bono legal and professional services, and developed DEI programs, training, and board representation.
Previously, I led external relations at Boston Debate League and development at The Mark Twain House & Museum, Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation, and Riverfront Recapture. My work has generated major gifts, grants, sponsorships, stronger boards, expanded volunteer engagement, and fundraising results that exceeded organizational goals.
I bring a writer’s discipline and an educator’s commitment to leadership, having taught writing at Trinity College, Quinnipiac University, Southern Connecticut State University, and Choate Rosemary Hall. I’m energized by building positive work environments and helping organizations create lasting impact for their constituents.
