What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a fully remote Controller or senior accounting leadership role focused on leading people and managing strong, efficient processes. My ideal role includes oversight of month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and accounting operations, with meaningful business partnership and the autonomy to make decisions and improve processes.

I’m an experienced finance and accounting leader with a background spanning controllership, financial planning and analysis, general accounting, process improvement, and cross-functional leadership.

At Dechra Veterinary Products, I led a team of accounting professionals responsible for day-to-day accounting, cash management, intercompany transactions, accounts receivable, balance sheet management, and budgeting and analysis for operating expenditures and gross-to-net. Prior to becoming US Controller, I rotated through General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Canadian Controllership, gaining broad exposure across core finance functions.

Prior to Dechra, I spent more than 20 years with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, a subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive, in roles of increasing responsibility culminating in Senior Finance Manager. My work included budgeting and planning, financial analysis, financial reporting, general accounting, project management, process improvement, and leadership of cross-functional initiatives. Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized as a strong problem solver, critical thinker, and leader.

I believe strongly in continuing education and lifelong learning, as demonstrated by my mid-career detour to law school. I graduated cum laude from Washburn University School of Law, ranked 9th in my class of 100, and earned a Certificate in Business and Transactional Law with Distinction. I also served on the Law Journal, competed in moot court, and earned Pro Bono Society Honors with Distinction.

I’m particularly interested in remote senior accounting leadership roles where I can lead people, oversee strong accounting processes, improve how the function operates, and serve as a trusted business partner.
