I’m an elementary STEM teacher who builds engaging, differentiated science learning for all students.
What I'm looking for
I’m an elementary STEM teacher with a strong practical and theoretical foundation in developing, selecting, and differentiating instruction to meet student needs. I’m confident leading classroom teaching and staff professional development, and I build lessons that maximize participation and learning potential.
In my current role at Briargrove Elementary, I teach PK–5th grade students science standards in an engaging way while organizing events for the school, STEM Club, Family STEM Night, and year-round STEM activities. Previously at Pleasantdale Elementary, I taught science and social studies to diverse learners (including English Language Learners, Special Education students, and gifted students), supporting flexible classroom structures and a strong, inclusive learning environment.
I also bring leadership through program and teaching coordination. As a Georgia State University coordinator for the UACM Program Science Summer Camp, I supervised teachers in training and supported veteran and newly certified teachers—making sure they had the knowledge and materials to teach science concepts to Kindergarten–fifth grade students. Earlier, as a Bio-Bus Mobile Instructional Fellow Laboratory Program, I taught K–12 learners across topics from chemistry and DNA to biotechnology and microbiology, hosted workshops, trained new fellows, and performed lab work to prepare program modules.
My teaching approach centers on positive social-emotional growth, confidence, and self-motivation for every child. I integrate technology effectively (including Promethean Board experience) and use systems like MTSS, alongside strong communication, classroom management, and creative lesson planning to support students and teams.
