Basliel Bekele

I’ve interpreted between Amharic and English for church and community interactions in Addis Ababa, including for visiting foreign pastors and English-speaking guests. I adapt language to different audiences while preserving meaning, tone, and context.

On multiple occasions, I provided interpreting support involving personnel and local counterparts at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland. I also assisted when language difficulties arose at a reception at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa.

At Lighthouse Production, I recruited and coordinated musicians when the production formed its band, and led the team through ongoing professional work. I’ve also supported day-to-day operations and customer communication as a small-business partner and operator.

I’m available for freelance, remote, and on-site interpreting, and I’m comfortable with telephone and video communication. I’m willing to complete assessments and training.
