As a graduate of the Hastings College Political Science program, (3.97 GPA) High Distinction, and a student of the University of Nebraska-Omaha's Master's Program in Public Administration, I possess strong organizational leadership and communication analysis skills. With the City of Hastings, I have been in a leadership position at Hastings Public Library since November, 2018, where I acted as the lead project manager for a complete software overhaul, advised the library director in policy decisions related to COVID-19 building closures, and public policies regarding the library. I have special strengths in communications and performance evaluation. Some career highlights at the City of Hastings have been placing second overall in a national elevator pitch competition sponsored by EBSCO titled: "MOVERS and Shakers: Making Entrepreneurship Accessible in Rural Settings" in May of 2022, being a finalist in the Google Impact Challenge Grant competition with my innovative approach to bringing library technology to those that need it most, and growing the funds towards a new bookmobile to over $122,000.
