I’m a frontend engineer with 2+ years shipping accessible, production React/TypeScript and Ruby on Rails features for a K-12 platform serving 10,000+ students, teachers, and guardians. I take a feature from Figma to deployed code, write the tests, and defend the PR myself.

At StrongMind, I built two component-based design systems from scratch for new K-12 product builds, including token-based theming, Figma Code Connect mapping, and a dedicated Storybook instance. I now maintain 3 systems total—up from the 1 I inherited—and I translate Figma components into documented React components other engineers pull from instead of rebuilding.

I’ve owned critical UI work across the Rails/React stack: refactoring the attendance tracking frontend to support a full backend rebuild, building a navigation framework from scratch, and redesigning and rebuilding legacy pages and workflows under accelerated deadlines. I focus on reducing UI complexity while maintaining accessibility standards (WCAG-aligned) and validating cross-browser and assistive-tech behavior.

I write RSpec tests and enforce RuboCop on every pull request, and I use tools like Claude, Cursor, and MCP to speed first drafts—then review and correct before shipping. Partnering directly with product and design, I turn ambiguous requirements into production-ready features, often as the only engineer from Figma file through deployed code.
