Ashling Gormley

I’m a driven worker with experience in retail spaces and online work, and I’m actively building my career as a copy writer and editor. I graduated with a 1:1 and I’m looking to expand my employment skills with a fully flexible schedule.

In my current role as a Skilled Researcher and Proof Reader, I proof read spelling and grammar within a set European style guide, review documents by non native speakers, and check event reports such as Erasmus Plus events. I also review and edit PowerPoint/presentations for various companies, supporting clear, accurate communication.

Previously, as a Sales Associate, I handled cash handling and sales, was trained on tills, and assisted training others. I used excellent attention to detail for pricing and tagging of stock, security tagging items, and flowing stock to the sales floor—while helping customers find items and resolving queries.

I’ve also volunteered with a customer service role, greeting guests and offering assistance, organising donations, and helping with prep, set up, and breakdown of community and public events. I’m commended on my organisational skills, and I bring teamwork and collaboration, time management, and a self motivated work ethic to every task.
