What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a challenging role where I can manage, lead, and work with motivational people. I want to be an example for my family by continuously building new skills and growing professionally in a people-focused environment.

Working with children has never been just a job for me, it has always been a passion to be an example for young learners. I'm excited to also bring that same commitment in Proofreading. Being able to utilize phonics, correct punctuation and grammar, storytelling, and phonological awareness from a classroom to an office-like environment enhances my skills in the liberal arts of creative reading and writing.

I have worked over more than a decade across early childhood settings, from classroom assistant roles at Milesquare Early Learning Center and The Brunswick School, to my most recent position with AMPACT Early Learning Corps/AmeriCorps. I have built a genuine track record in child development, family communication, and individualized support. At The Brunswick School, I progressed from a floater position into an assistant teacher role, where I helped deliver daily instruction for children ages two and a half to three, covering literacy, numeracy, social skills, and early independence. That progression reflected consistent trust placed in me by the educators and administrators I worked alongside. The classroom etiquette I was able to obtain taught me large group and leader skills, management and organization, patience, communication and proper instruction giving and receiving.

My work with AMPACT sharpened my ability to assess where individual children need targeted support. I identified students requiring intervention across areas like phonological awareness, vocabulary, counting, and comprehension, then adapt my approach to meet each child where they are. That kind of attentiveness, means I bring both formal grounding and practical experience to an environment needing a keen eye in detail to grammar, punctuation, types of writing and the art of its language.

I am also bilingual in English and Spanish, and has been a genuine asset to broadening my vocabulary and language arts.

I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you about how my background aligns with what you are looking for.
