I'm a Senior Software Engineer based in Mysore, India, with 7 years of experience across two companies - Oracle Health and, currently, Mobile Commons (formerly Upland Software) - building and owning production backend systems for high-scale, data-heavy platforms.

At Mobile Commons, I own core parts of a Ruby on Rails monolith powering a messaging platform for nonprofits: audience segmentation, two-way SMS/broadcast campaigns, and CRM/donation-data sync, sustaining roughly 16,000+ messages per minute at peak campaign load. When the Rails worker pool hit I/O ceilings under that load, I extracted the dispatch workload into a dedicated Elixir/OTP microservice using a multi-stage GenStage topology with configurable back-pressure, deployed on AWS ECS/Fargate with auto-scaling tied to queue depth — so the system degrades gracefully under bursts instead of failing. I've also applied PostgreSQL performance work (partial and trigram indexing) to keep query performance predictable at scale, evaluated and extended feature-flag infrastructure (Unleash, with custom parent-child dependency logic), and led adoption of new engineering tooling and standards across a 12+ engineer team.

Before that, at Oracle Health, I engineered secure RESTful APIs for healthcare data workflows under strict compliance requirements, built an automated recovery daemon that cut issue resolution time by 40%, and overhauled a legacy deployment pipeline across three production applications, cutting deployment time by 50%.

While Rails and Elixir are where I go deepest, I work comfortably across the fullstack - JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, and React - and I'm equally at home diagnosing a production incident, designing a data model, or mentoring engineers through a new tool or standard. I'm currently looking for remote backend or fullstack opportunities where I can take real ownership of systems at scale.
