I am a graduate student at the University of Michigan's Marsal School of Education, pursuing a Master’s in Arts with a Secondary Teaching Certification and Social Studies endorsement. With a current GPA of 4.0, I am committed to developing engaging and inclusive lessons that promote disciplinary literacy among students. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Pittsburgh, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude.
As a student teacher at Pioneer High School, I partner with my mentor to create instructional tasks that foster an inclusive learning environment. I have designed lessons for tenth-grade United States History and Geography, focusing on significant historical events such as the Civil Rights Movement and the Cold War. My experience also includes working with diverse learners and implementing classroom management strategies to maintain an engaged environment.
