At Metabolic, I built an interventions database of more than 10,000 circular and sustainable case studies, helping match needs with ideas for implementation. I also developed an internal wiki of methodologies and a repository for project data and reports.
As Research Director, I improved shared assets and methodologies across projects and supported knowledge transfer across the organization and peer organizations. I implemented training in systems thinking and modeling, GIS, material flow analysis, and environmental impact assessment.
As Director of Metabolic Institute, I was responsible for the vision and strategic direction of its nonprofit research activities, including implementation through team building, fundraising, and partnerships. I also provided support, expertise, and quality control across Institute projects.
I'm a founder and board member of Repair Cafe Amsterdam Oud-Noord, where community events help people repair everyday items and prevent waste. A documentary about the repair cafe and another cafe inspired others to get started in Japan.
