At Re-Peat Netherlands, I collectively started and ran the Peatland Justice campaign, using education, creative disruption, and published research to challenge supermarket products grown in or containing peat. I also researched and wrote about Dutch horticulture policies and practices, and collaborated on art-based peatland advocacy.
At Wetlands International, I supported the Peatland Breakthrough team with research, policy briefs, stakeholder coordination, and QGIS maps of peatland areas in Southeast Asia. I also conducted research and interviews for a report on local ecological knowledge and water-related conflicts. My Master’s in Sustainable Development at Utrecht University focused on environmental change, ecosystems, monitoring, and peatland restoration.
