I lead enterprise Time & Labor operations at Houston Independent School District, supporting accurate on-cycle payroll for 25,000 employees and providing functional leadership to 700 time recorders.
I've progressed through five increasingly responsible roles at HISD, spanning payroll accounting, benefits administration, payroll tax, finance coordination, and payroll time and labor. I manage deadline-sensitive payroll issues, reconciliations, tax-data review, wage-code testing, audit support, and process governance.
As an Oracle implementation SME and TimeClock Plus functional expert, I partner with IT and business teams on requirements, UAT, validation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and production readiness. I investigate recurring discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement controls and workflow improvements that strengthen payroll accuracy.
Earlier, I handled payroll tax filings, Form 941 processes, W-2/W-2C corrections, banking transactions, TRS reporting, accounting operations, and Sales & Use Tax compliance. I'm preparing for the CPA examination to continue strengthening my accounting, tax, and regulatory knowledge.
