Ann Dunbar
@anndunbar
Senior mainframe application developer delivering reliable enterprise banking software with 35+ years expertise.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Senior Mainframe Application Developer with more than 35 years of information technology experience delivering enterprise solutions for banking, financial services, and government organizations. About 20 years of hands-on COBOL/mainframe development and more than a decade of SQL, database, and Business Intelligence development shape how I modernize critical systems without breaking trust.
My core strength is solving complex production issues in highly regulated environments. I’ve built and maintained mission-critical COBOL batch and online applications using enterprise mainframe technologies like IDMS, DB2, CICS, and JCL, and I’m comfortable bridging legacy mainframe systems with modern SQL and analytics.
I’ve supported enterprise banking and government systems across nearly four decades, including financial platforms exceeding $23 billion in managed assets. At the World Bank Group (IFC), I completed more than 300 documented projects in one year, and I led Year 2000 remediation efforts for COBOL, ADS/O, and JCL applications.
In recent roles, I’ve developed SQL-based enterprise reporting and analytics solutions supporting mortgage servicing operations. I automate manual reporting, validate data quality, and partner with business, audit, and technology teams—bringing enterprise banking knowledge into SQL Server, Oracle, Tableau, and MicroStrategy to deliver dependable outcomes.
