I’m Head of Design at Handy Golf, where I own the visual architecture of the whole platform, a product that has to speak to golfers and coaches, runs across mobile and web, and spans everything from in-app practice tools to a coach’s own website. Different audiences, different surfaces, different platforms.

My job is the coherence that runs through it all: making different products feel like one. I set the direction, and I build it.

That shows up in the system underneath the screens, dozens of small calls that decide whether two products feel like siblings or strangers. How far the coach world can drift from the golfer world before it stops looking like the same company? How much can a coach customize before the system breaks? Where to hold the line, and where to let go? None of it shows up in a screenshot. It’s the part of the work that only becomes visible when it fails, and my job is making sure it doesn’t.

I now work with AI agents to run the mechanical passes a design system demands, so I can spend my judgment where it matters. Nineteen years of design gave me the knowledge to understand when the output is wrong.

Before Handy Golf: redesigned NGN’s core software, created the CueFit product that became NGNInsights after acquisition, and earned a Best in Show award for the virtual booth I designed for PACE ACX during the pandemic.
