What I'm looking for

I seek a challenging role in a progressive organization to enhance my skills and contribute to student success.

I am an empathic school social worker with over 5 years of experience in the social service sector, particularly in the children and youth domain. My journey has equipped me with a wealth of transferable skills, including assessment, counseling, and mediation, which I utilize to support students in overcoming personal and academic challenges.

Currently, I serve as a SEN/Safeguarding Lead at Lighthouse Secondary School, where I collaborate with colleagues to design and implement programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. My responsibilities include case management, creating individualized education plans, and providing training to staff on effective strategies to support student learning. I am dedicated to fostering a conducive learning environment and advocating for the resources necessary for student success.

In addition to my role at Lighthouse, I have engaged in various initiatives aimed at enhancing mental health equity and providing educational workshops for teachers. I am passionate about empowering students and families, ensuring they have access to the support and resources they need to thrive.
