I run the infrastructure of a multi-site retail operation on my own. Windows and Linux servers, Proxmox virtualization, Active Directory with GPOs, segmented VLANs, Sophos firewall policy, UniFi wireless across sites, and a 3-2-1 backup of about 4 TB. I test the restore instead of assuming it works.
The monitoring is my own work. 169 hosts and 3,293 monitored items in Zabbix, with 354 triggers I wrote, shown on 7 Grafana dashboards with 122 panels. I configure Zabbix through its API in Python, idempotently, instead of clicking through the web interface.
I write the checks myself instead of installing ready-made templates. One example. Three gateways showed green on the dashboard while the stores behind them were down. The item checked if the gateway answered. It never checked if the service worked. I rewrote the collection to test TCP 443 and DNS resolution. The alert started firing before the users called. Another one. I caught a DHCP pool at 97.6% use, 246 of 252 leases, and resegmented it before it took anything down.
I also maintain a 22-module ERP in daily production, including the Brazilian PCC-03 withholding-tax rule, covered by 4,509 automated tests in CI. On the larger codebases the architecture and the engineering decisions are mine and the code is AI-assisted under my specification. I review it and I answer for it in production. The infrastructure and monitoring work is my own.
Day to day I automate with Python, Bash and PowerShell, and I work with PostgreSQL and SQL. Through my own company, AZ Sistemas, I build custom systems and process automation for small and mid-sized businesses. I am finishing a technologist degree in Systems Analysis and Development at UCS.
One thing I would rather say now than in an interview. I read and write English at a professional level and use technical documentation every day. My spoken English is basic. I work well in written and asynchronous teams.
