I develop corrosion-resistant automotive materials, qualify suppliers, and reduce aluminum component costs.

I've supported Nissan Materials R&D and Advance Engineering for Nissan and Infiniti, qualifying steel, aluminum sheet, and aluminum castings for vehicle components. I approved and localized more than 30 new material grades while achieving approximately 50% material cost reduction and meeting Nissan OEM quality standards.

I investigate coating and metal-part failures through PFMEA-based quality analysis, root-cause identification, and corrective actions. I also conduct audits of new mills and manufacturing facilities using ISO standards and Nissan specifications.

My work combines electrochemical corrosion testing—including EIS, cyclic voltammetry, polarization resistance, and salt spray—with SEM, metallography, mechanical testing, and failure analysis. I designed an aluminum recycling process to reduce CO2 and costs.

My MSc research focused on electrochemical evaluation of Fe-Al galvanic couples for the automotive industry, including a research stay at Marie Curie University in Paris. I'm fluent in Spanish and English.
