Senior Backend Engineer with 7+ years of experience, primarily in Java (Spring Boot, JAX-RS) and Python. Currently at AnyClip, designing and building distributed backend services for a video platform running at ~1,000 RPS across EU and US, serving hundreds of customer sites.
Built event-driven, distributed services on AWS SQS with Redis and Memcached caching that cut backend load by ~70% and brought read latency down to ~10ms (versus ~50ms from the datastore). Operate 10+ Dockerized microservices on AWS EKS at ~99% uptime, autoscaled with Kubernetes HPA. Core stack also includes PostgreSQL, Kafka, OpenSearch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Docker, S3, Jenkins CI/CD.
Also lead a distributed team of up to 7 developers and QA - sprint planning, delivery, Scrum Master - staying hands-on ~70% of the time.
Earlier in my career I worked in network/security systems automation (Indeni, AlgoSec, SofaWare/Check Point).
Use Claude Code and Codex daily for architecture, implementation, code review and documentation.
