Yaakov Haimoff

I am a software engineer with hands-on experience building backend systems in Python and Java, focused on delivering scalable, reliable solutions. I hold a B.Sc. in Computer Science and continuously expand my cloud and containerization expertise through practical courses.

At LiveU I developed backend features for ingest and video servers, implemented S3 export workflows, and removed race conditions to ensure accurate manifests for live video segments. I diagnose production issues by tracing logs and applying robust fixes, and I write automated integration tests to prevent regressions.

I operate comfortably in Linux server environments, compile and run production code directly on physical units, and contribute to infrastructure efforts including Kubernetes deployments and Prometheus monitoring demonstrations. I also refactor legacy components to improve maintainability and performance.

I build end-to-end projects such as a flight search automation tool using Java Spring Boot, Selenium, Docker, and deployed services, and I pursue targeted training in Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Spring Boot to keep my skills aligned with production-grade microservices development.
