@aleenaaftab
Emergency Medicine physician with trauma ER experience and strong acute-care clinical documentation.
What I'm looking for
I’m a medical graduate with a strong clinical foundation in acute care, emergency medicine, surgery, and internal medicine, built through my house job at Civil Hospital Karachi and SIUT. I’m currently working in Trauma Emergency at Dow University Hospital, where I manage acute trauma and emergency presentations in a high-pressure tertiary-care setting.
In my day-to-day work, I focus on rapid assessment and stabilization using an ABC approach, while maintaining accurate, structured documentation of histories, examinations, and management plans. I also coordinate patient information between teams to support continuity of care, and I’ve developed comfort with emergency workflows and high-volume documentation.
I stay active in research, audit, teaching, and community work, reflecting my commitment to both academic medicine and patient-centered care. Through clinical observer roles in renal and general surgery settings, I gained additional exposure to AKI/CKD management and dialysis-related services, while continuing to build skills through hands-on emergency and surgical training. I’m also engaged in teaching first-response care and mentoring students through tutoring and career guidance.
