Hadiqa Gul
@hadiqagul
Internal medicine resident physician focused on evidence-based patient care and medical education.
What I'm looking for
I am a physician trained through a structured four-year specialty program in internal medicine at a major tertiary care hospital in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As a batch leader, I independently manage a wide range of medical emergencies while diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
I strengthen clinical practice with thorough history taking, clinical examinations, daily rounds with supervisors, and careful documentation (including keeping DPR of patients). I perform a range of procedures such as catheterization, NG tube placement, ascitic and pleural taps, IV line placement, IV/IM medications and infusions, blood transfusions, CVC insertion, and lumbar puncture.
I’m equally driven by teaching and professional growth. I have supported undergraduate learning through bedside demonstrations and assisting students in developing clinical reasoning, and I also supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical students. Alongside clinical work, I have research experience including an authored study on abducent nerve palsy in pyogenic meningitis and contributions to a meta-analysis on genetic biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease.
