What I'm looking for

I seek a senior SHEQ role where I can lead system implementation, drive safety culture, reduce incidents, mentor teams and contribute to organizational risk and quality improvement.

I am a seasoned SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) Superintendent with 28 years' practical experience across mining, chemical, timber and fertilizer industries. I currently lead SHEQ implementation and compliance at a major mining operation, focusing on sustainable culture change and systems delivery.

My career includes roles as SHEQ Superintendent, SHE Officer, Safety Manager and Environmental Health Officer, where I introduced and institutionalized safety management systems, BMS implementation and behaviour-based interventions. I have led teams to national and industry recognition and designed documentation and communications that became part of company systems.

Notable achievements include reducing LTIFR from 3.42 to 0.00 within four years in a projects division, spearheading BMS adoption, and establishing SHE departments and risk profiles through HIRA. I hold multiple SHEQ auditing and specialist certificates and am a member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Occupational Health and Safety.

I am results-oriented, innovative and experienced in change management, investigations/root cause analysis and emergency preparedness, and I leverage tools such as IsoMetrix, CURA, TapRoot and GPS in environmental assessments.
