At MNT-Halan, I implemented service-journal, a real-time double-entry accounting engine that consumes loan and transaction events from Kafka, matches them against configurable Accounting Profiles, and posts entries to the general ledger.
I designed accrue-interest and journal-reconciliation batch jobs, along with remediation scripts to detect and correct mis-posted entries. I also implemented accounting and interest logic across business lines and the UAE portfolio, including VAT-inclusive interest, suspense accounting, and NPL handling.
At Sumerge, I developed middleware APIs, integration flows, and message queues using IBM App Connect Enterprise, ESQL, IBM MQ, and Java, and deployed applications using IBM CloudPak and Red Hat OpenShift. At Energenious, I developed and maintained Node.js microservices behind a unified Apollo GraphQL gateway and deployed services with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.
My other work includes research on Person Re-Identification using Deep Learning, which I co-authored into an IEEE-published paper, and projects including a distributed Q&A platform and a Java database management system. I also assisted with teaching OOP, Data Structures, and Algorithms in Java at German University in Cairo.
