Abinash Sahoo

I am a Power Systems Engineer with over four years of R&D experience at Hitachi Energy, focused on protection, automation, and control (PAC) systems for high-voltage grids. I design, develop, and validate algorithms and real-time functions using MATLAB, PSCAD, and embedded-friendly numerical methods.

My work includes end-to-end development of transmission line switching and load monitoring algorithms, implementation of signal-processing methods such as Matrix Pencil and DFT, and LAPACK-based optimizations for deterministic embedded performance. I have contributed to patented innovations and delivered field-ready features for Switchsync PWC600 and GMS600 products.

I collaborate across global cross-functional teams, produce detailed technical documentation, lead validation and ATS/RTDS testing, and mentor junior engineers while supporting maintenance, regression testing, and product releases.
