Abhishek Pacheriwala

Abhishek Pacheriwala is a commercial real estate and structured finance leader with over 16 years of experience building and scaling credit, underwriting, and asset management functions for some of the world's largest financial institutions, including Citi, Goldman Sachs, EY, Barclays, and JPMorgan Chase. He currently serves as Senior Vice President at Citi, where he is spearheading the strategic migration of the bank's ~$50 billion U.S. real estate portfolio to Mumbai — spanning affordable housing (LIHTC), construction and permanent financing, commercial real estate, corporate lending, and guarantor analysis — while building and maintaining a 40-person offshore credit organization from the ground up.

Prior to Citi, Abhishek led Goldman Sachs' Commercial Real Estate Loan Asset Management function, overseeing a $13B+ portfolio and driving a 40% improvement in team efficiency and an 80% reduction in reporting turnaround through automated, technology-driven risk and reporting tools. His earlier roles at EY, Barclays, and JPMorgan Chase span cross-border real estate advisory across the U.S., Japan, and Italy, large-loan CMBS origination and securitization, and real estate valuation and underwriting — giving him end-to-end fluency across the CRE loan lifecycle, from origination through portfolio surveillance and securitization.

A hallmark of Abhishek's career is his ability to pair deep credit and valuation expertise with technology-driven process transformation. He is proficient in SQL, Python, VBA, Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI, and has repeatedly used these tools to automate reporting, strengthen data governance, and materially cut turnaround times across multi-billion-dollar portfolios. Equally known for his people leadership, he has built and mentored global teams across markets, established centers of excellence for valuation and advisory best practices, and served as a trusted advisor to senior management and global stakeholders throughout his career.

Abhishek holds an MBA in Finance from ICFAI Business School, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the BESC, Kolkata. He continues to expand his technical toolkit with certifications spanning data analytics, programming, and emerging AI applications.
