I began my journey into Natural Language Processing (NLP) models in 2018 while pursuing my master's degree at Koc University. I was fortunate to take part in the Emerging Welfare Project, an ERC-funded initiative. This was a critical period in the field, with significant advancements and updates beginning to emerge.
Following my academic experience, I sought to continue my career in a startup environment, a setting I believed to be the perfect entry point into the market. Here, I garnered extensive experience and honed skills, such as delivering AI pipelines from semicolum to score monitoring and API optimization.
My ambition is to have a global career in which I can make a substantial impact. I lead a team that won the first place in the first hackathon we participated in Simpplr. Our winning idea evolved into a product now used by 500 global customers. I am also co-leading two other projects, both earmarked for integration into the product by year-end. We're leveraging LLM to the greatest extent possible in these projects.
As I look forward, my immediate goal is to become a frontrunner in outlining the vision for AI integration in customer service. I strive to create a tools where AI tools empower customers, fostering creativity and enabling them to achieve the best outcomes. I am driven by the belief that with the right use of technology, specifically AI, we can revolutionize the way businesses operate and improve user experiences.
I thrive in environments that challenge me and I am not afraid to take calculated risks for the sake of innovation. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and a natural ability for problem-solving.
My professional ethos is heavily centered around the principle of ownership. I pledge unwavering commitment to every project I undertake, ensuring I remain at the helm, steering the ship until we successfully anchor in the destined port.
As much as I am excited about leading projects and ideating innovative solutions, I equally value collaborative work. Being part of diverse teams, harnessing our shared experiences and insights to achieve common goals is truly rewarding for me.
I remain avidly curious and committed to learning – about new technologies in AI, about different business models, and about how I can better help customers elevate their creativity. My journey in AI and NLP models is ongoing and I eagerly look forward to the opportunities the future holds.
