I’m a bilingual Somali-English interpreter with four years of experience helping the Somali community navigate complex social services. I focus on real-time interpretation and cultural mediation to make information clear, accurate, and respectful for every client.

In my case management work, I assisted Somali families and individuals with housing assistance, food benefits (SNAP), and healthcare access. I interpreted and explained complex program information between clients and agency staff in a clear and culturally sensitive manner, conducting over 30 client interviews monthly while managing a caseload of 25+ cases.

I also bring strong customer-facing experience from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, where I provided real-time language assistance with check-in, boarding, baggage, and general airport navigation. I resolved an average of 20 travel issues daily in a fast-paced environment, built trust through patient communication during post-pandemic travel recovery, and maintain professionalism and detail in every interaction.
