Abdel-Tawab Mossa
@abdel-tawabmossa
Professor of pesticide chemistry and toxicology; advancing green nano-pesticides.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Professor in Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology at the National Research Centre (NRC) in Egypt, and I currently serve as Head of the Pesticide Chemistry Department. My Ph.D. in Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology (2004) shaped a research focus on pesticide toxicity, residue analysis, risk assessment, and the development of green pesticides and nanoformulations (nanopesticides).
I work across pest control in agriculture and public health, plant health, and environmental health, with a strong emphasis on the One Health Approach and the impact of climate change. I’ve built a major publication record (over 100 publications), secured competitive national and international funding, and developed inventions including two patents for green and nanopesticides, while supervising many Master’s and Ph.D. theses and providing scientific consultation for technology transfer.
