ايمان عادل زايد

I’m a pharmacist and academic with a PhD from Cairo University, Faculty of Pharmacy (grade excellent). My career blends clinical practice with teaching and research, centered on pharmacology and toxicology with a focus on metabolic disorders.

Since September 2002, I’ve been teaching pharmacology and toxicology to under graduate students at 6 October University, Faculty of Pharmacy, and I previously served as a teaching assistant in the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department (September 2002 to Feb 2009). Alongside teaching, I work in Kafer El-Sheikh General Hospital as a pharmacist (2002 to 2004) and currently contribute through the Directorate of Health Affairs in Kafer El-Sheikh (Egyptian Fellowship, Nov 2020–present).

I publish peer-reviewed journal work exploring insulin resistance and cardiometabolic complications using agents such as omega-3 fatty acid, L-carnitine, Nigella sativa, ginger, fenugreek oil, and metformin—examining pathways including GLUT4 and PPARγ. I’m motivated by evidence-based practice, scientific rigor, and translating research outcomes into better clinical and educational impact.
