Abbey Waymire
@abbeywaymire
Registered nurse specializing in pediatrics, triage, and NICU-intensive care.
What I'm looking for
I’m a compassionate, dedicated registered nurse with four years of experience in a level IV neonatal intensive care unit and four years in a pediatric outpatient setting. I combine clinical observation, physical assessment, and sound clinical judgment to identify needs early and act confidently.
In pediatrics, I provide care from newborn to age 21, including vital signs, growth charts, vision screenings, and immunizations. I also support urgent needs through walk-in care and phone triage, handling triage calls, referrals, medication coordination, and prior authorizations—often for multiple practices and providers.
In the NICU, I advocated for patients and families while caring for complex neonatal conditions and congenital diagnoses. I managed advanced oxygen and ventilation therapies and supported safe, patient-centered care through interdisciplinary collaboration, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and social work.
