I'm currently teaching Russian as a foreign language at Vaimastvere Middle School, supporting learners with varied educational and behavioural needs in a rural Estonian school.

Previously, I taught Russian language and literature for native speakers at Sakala Private Gymnasium in Tallinn and delivered literature tutoring and School Olympiad training in Moscow.

My PhD in Russian Literature from the University of Tartu examines the generic roots of Russian crime fiction from the 1860s to the 1890s. I've presented doctoral research at Princeton University and at Monash University's Captivating Criminality conference.

I bring curriculum and lesson planning, constructive feedback, calm classroom management, and literary and cultural context to learning. My experience also includes copywriting and medical journalism, and I'm available for part-time remote contract work.
