Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Counseling Supervisor to lead our team of dedicated counselors. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of our youth programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality counseling services, and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and clients. Your expertise in youth development will be pivotal in guiding our approach to mental health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of counselors, providing guidance on best practices and professional development
- Develop and implement effective counseling programs tailored to the diverse needs of youth
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling services, utilizing data to drive improvements
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to youth development and well-being
- Facilitate training workshops and staff meetings to promote continuous learning and team cohesion
- Serve as a key point of contact for families, addressing concerns and providing resources
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational policies related to youth counseling
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in youth counseling or related services
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical or educational setting
- Strong understanding of mental health issues affecting youth and evidence-based counseling practices
Preferred:
- Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent
- Experience in program development and evaluation
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in case management software and electronic health record systems
- Experience utilizing assessment tools to evaluate counseling effectiveness
- Knowledge of community resources and referral systems
