Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Director of Youth Programs who will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative programs aimed at empowering young individuals. This role is critical in shaping our organizational strategy for youth engagement, fostering community partnerships, and driving impactful initiatives that resonate with our mission to uplift and support the next generation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for youth programs that aligns with organizational goals and community needs.
- Lead a team of program managers and coordinators, providing mentorship and support to ensure effective program delivery.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including schools, community organizations, and government entities to identify opportunities for partnership and program expansion.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through data-driven insights, adjusting strategies as needed to enhance impact.
- Oversee the budgeting and resource allocation for youth programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Advocate for youth-related issues within the organization and the community, serving as a spokesperson and thought leader.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in program management, with a focus on youth initiatives or community development.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and driving complex projects from conception to execution.
- Strong understanding of the social, educational, and developmental needs of youth.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with grant writing and fundraising for youth programs.
- Familiarity with current trends and best practices in youth development and engagement.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for tracking program success metrics.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting to inform program decisions and improvements.
- Knowledge of digital communication platforms for community engagement and outreach.
