Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Counseling Services to lead our team in delivering high-quality mental health support and counseling services. In this role, you will oversee program development, manage clinical staff, and implement evidence-based practices to enhance client outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all counseling services, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of counseling programs and services
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of licensed counselors and support staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies
- Engage in community outreach and partnership development to enhance service delivery and accessibility
- Monitor and analyze service outcomes, utilizing data to inform program improvements and resource allocation
- Develop and manage budgets for counseling programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Licensed as a counselor or therapist in the state of practice
- 5+ years of experience in the mental health field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based counseling practices and program evaluation methodologies
Preferred:
- Experience in a community mental health setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative service delivery models
- Familiarity with grant writing and securing funding for mental health programs
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation
- Experience with data analysis tools to monitor program outcomes and effectiveness
- Knowledge of telehealth platforms and their integration into service delivery
