Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Youth Specialist to join our team, focusing on empowering young individuals through program development, mentorship, and advocacy. In this fully remote role, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to create impactful initiatives that support the growth and development of youth in our communities.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement youth-focused programs that promote personal, social, and academic growth.
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs and interests of youth participants.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and events that engage youth and foster skill development.
- Build strong relationships with youth, families, and community partners to enhance program effectiveness.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
- Advocate for youth needs and interests within the organization and the broader community.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working directly with youth in a programmatic or support capacity.
- Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.
- Proficient in using digital tools and platforms for remote engagement and program delivery.
Preferred:
- Experience in program evaluation and data analysis.
- Knowledge of community resources and youth services.
- Fluency in a second language is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack).
- Experience with online learning platforms and content management systems.
- Familiarity with data management software for tracking program outcomes.
