Responsibilities

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of Wildland Firefighter training (S-130/S-190) and certification as a Wildland Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2).
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks in challenging environments.
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a wildland firefighter or in a related emergency response role.
- Knowledge of fire behavior, ecology, and firefighting techniques.
- Familiarity with the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for fire mapping and analysis.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the operation and maintenance of firefighting tools and equipment.
- Understanding of fire suppression tactics and strategies for various fire environments.
