Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Operations Manager to lead our fire management initiatives and ensure the safety and efficiency of our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing fire safety programs, policies, and procedures across all operational areas, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fire management strategies and policies that align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate fire safety training programs for personnel, ensuring they are knowledgeable in fire suppression techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential fire hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee incident response procedures and manage fire incidents, ensuring effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders.
- Maintain and manage fire safety equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with emergency services and local authorities to strengthen community engagement and preparedness initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze fire incident trends and performance metrics, providing reports and recommendations to senior management.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fire operations management or related field, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred:
- Experience with incident command systems and emergency response planning.
- Relevant certifications in fire safety, such as NFPA, ICC, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with technology solutions for fire management and reporting.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in fire safety management software and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for fire mapping and analysis.
- Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to drive operational improvements.
