Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wetlands Conservation Manager to lead our efforts in preserving and restoring vital wetland ecosystems. This role is essential in implementing conservation strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations to protect biodiversity and enhance ecosystem services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive wetlands conservation plans and restoration projects to enhance habitat quality and ecosystem health.
- Conduct ecological assessments and monitoring to evaluate wetlands conditions, track changes, and inform adaptive management strategies.
- Collaborate with governmental agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders to foster partnerships and promote conservation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wetland conservation and management.
- Lead public outreach and educational programs to raise awareness about the importance of wetlands and engage the community in conservation efforts.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in wetland conservation, ecology, or natural resource management.
- Strong knowledge of wetland ecosystems, hydrology, and relevant conservation policies and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with GIS and remote sensing technologies for habitat mapping and analysis.
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and securing funding for conservation projects.
