Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resource Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in developing sustainable water resource management solutions. This pivotal role involves overseeing large-scale water projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and optimizing water usage across various sectors. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers in the design and implementation of water resource management systems, including hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality assessments.
- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints while meeting regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including governmental agencies, environmental organizations, and community groups, to promote sustainable practices and address water-related challenges.
- Conduct technical reviews of project proposals, ensuring they align with industry standards and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Utilize advanced modeling software to simulate water systems and assess the impact of proposed projects on local ecosystems.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in water resource engineering, with a proven track record in project management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Strong understanding of water resource regulations and environmental compliance.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Water Resource Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with advanced hydrological modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and other engineering design tools.
- Experience with water quality monitoring and treatment technologies.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies for evaluating water resource systems.
