Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydraulic Engineering Manager to lead our innovative engineering team. In this fully remote role, you will spearhead projects that enhance water resource management and hydraulic systems design, ensuring that our engineering solutions align with both technical excellence and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the hydraulic engineering team in the design, analysis, and optimization of complex hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, managing resources and timelines effectively to meet client expectations and project milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including environmental scientists, civil engineers, and project managers, to develop integrated solutions for water resource challenges.
- Conduct regular assessments of hydraulic models and simulations to validate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to present project findings, proposals, and recommendations, fostering strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, EPANET, or similar tools).
Preferred:
- Experience in sustainable water resource management practices and stormwater design.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in hydraulic modeling and simulation.
- Ability to design and analyze hydraulic systems using advanced computational tools.
- Experience with AutoCAD and GIS software for engineering design and mapping.
