Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrogeology Manager to oversee and lead our hydrogeological projects. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing groundwater resources, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and directing a team of hydrogeologists in the assessment and remediation of groundwater contamination.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage hydrogeological studies, including site assessments, modeling, and data analysis to inform groundwater resource management decisions.
- Oversee the development and implementation of groundwater monitoring programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
- Conduct complex hydrogeological modeling using software such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, or similar tools to predict groundwater flow and contaminant transport.
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals for clients and regulatory agencies, articulating findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hydrogeological data into broader environmental and engineering projects.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hydrogeological assessments, modeling, and project management.
- Strong understanding of groundwater flow principles, contamination processes, and environmental regulations.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Professional Geologist (PG) or similar certification.
- Experience with water resource management and regulatory compliance in various jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with GIS applications and data analysis tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in hydrogeological modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW).
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., GIS, MATLAB, R).
- Understanding of groundwater sampling techniques and laboratory analysis methods.
