Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Wage and Salary Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the management of employee compensation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. You will work closely with senior administrators to learn best practices in payroll management and contribute to the development of effective compensation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in processing payroll for employees by ensuring accurate collection and entry of timekeeping data
- Support the administration of employee compensation programs, including salary adjustments, bonuses, and benefits
- Help maintain accurate records of employee compensation and benefits
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
- Participate in audits and prepare reports to assist in the evaluation of compensation practices
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits, providing exceptional customer service
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in a payroll or HR administrative role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive information confidentially
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and compensation structures
Preferred:
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar)
- Familiarity with labor laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Experience with payroll management systems and HR software
- Understanding of data management practices and record-keeping systems
- Ability to analyze compensation data and generate reports

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
