Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and innovative Director of Training and Development to lead our learning initiatives and foster a culture of continuous professional growth across the organization. This role will be pivotal in designing and implementing comprehensive training programs that enhance employee skills and align with our organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking training strategy that addresses the evolving needs of the business and enhances employee performance.
- Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives and employee developmental needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify skill gaps and create targeted training solutions that drive business results.
- Leverage data and analytics to assess training effectiveness and impact on employee performance, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of learning by promoting training initiatives and encouraging employee participation across all levels.
- Manage the training budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize training impact.
- Mentor and develop a team of training professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in training and development, with a proven track record in designing and implementing effective training programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Experience in utilizing learning management systems and e-learning tools to deliver training content.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a technology or innovative industry.
- Certifications in training methodologies or instructional design (e.g., ATD, CPLP) are a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate).
- Familiarity with various training delivery methods, including virtual, in-person, and blended learning approaches.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate training effectiveness and ROI.
